Panorama
City is located near the 405 freeway and the split
between the 5 freeway and the beginning of the 170
freeway. It is a bedroom community made up of mostly
single family homes. There is some industrial activity
along Van Nuys Boulevard. There is a large Kaiser
Permanente Hospital located in this community.
Shopping
was pretty good before the old General Motors plant
site was redeveloped into a major shopping district,
so the shopping has received a "shot in the arm"
and made even better.
Access
to commuting is reasonable with all the nearby Freeways.
There is also a stop for the Metro Rail service to
downtown Los Angeles. Amtrak uses that depot as well.
The
housing is mostly older with the houses built in the
early 1950's. The housing level is lower to middle,
entry level with matching prices. There are some areas
that have a higher than normal level of rental activity.
These areas are generally a little less desirable,
however, the difference is not significant.
