Valley
Village is one of the newer areas to be identified
in the San Fernando Valley. It is located just north
of Studio City and south of North Hollywood.
The
housing in this area is mostly older single family
homes. There are some apartments. The neighborhoods
are generally well kept and show good pride of ownership.
Most
of the jobs will be outside Valley Village, however,
the commute should be very reasonable. If you drop
south to the 101 freeway, you can work your way to
downtown Los Angeles easily. This part of the freeway
is heavily traveled, so it will be slow, but steady.
Most people going to the Westside from here would
take Laurel Canyon south up and over the hill. This
will drop you in Hollywood, just a few minutes from
Century City or the Westside.
