This
page has been growing and growing. It started to get
a little unwieldy, so we decided it would be more
useful for you if we broke the list into manageable
pieces. This page is for Real Estate specific National
and State links. Local links for Real Estate information
are now on the Local Real
Estate Links page.
We
still believe in having fun, so you can find our Fun
Links in the Fun
Attitude section.
Hopefully,
this new organization makes these resources easier
to find and more useful to you. The World Wide Web
is a fascinating place. If you find a web site you
think should be on any of these Link pages, please
let us know. Just use the Contact
Us page. THANKS!
National
Association of Realtors®
Our
national industry trade group. Lots of in depth articles.
May be a little obscure. Did you know there is a difference
between someone having a Real Estate license and someone
being a Realtor®?
California
Association of Realtors®
State
version of NAR. Dig around and you will find meaningful
in depth data. Again, it may be a little obscure.
U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
I
don't see this site linked a lot, but the information
is excellent. You can spend days here.
Department
Of Veterans Affairs (VA) Home Loan Programs
Excellent
resource. Lots of information. Some of the pages need
a little updating, but that is getting a little picky.
FannieMae
and FreddieMac
FannieMae
and FreddieMac have done an enormous job, and done
it extremely well, of bringing real estate finance
into the 21st century. I have been fascinated by these
two companies for 20 years! But, you may find the
information just a little arcane.
California
Department of Real Estate
You
can find a lot of legal information here. You can
also check on the status of a licensee. Don't miss
all the great information on MOG's (Mineral, Oil and
Gas licensees)
. Seriously, there is a consumer
section that has some interesting material and
an entire 620
page book that you can view online.

Underlying
all Real Estate value is the simple principle of 'supply
and demand'. You can research economic data and demographic
data that may have an impact on the value of real
estate for the foreseeable future. I actually refer
to this data regularly in my research. It makes for
very exciting conversation at social gatherings
.
